Graduated from Sydney University in 1994 and joined Mullum Vet in January 2006, becoming a partner in 2009. Deep experience across every part of practice, small animals and large.
An independent mixed practice on Dalley Street, Mullumbimby. Medicine and surgery for pets, horses and cattle, with an emergency service after hours.
Mullum Vet is independent and locally owned, which in practice means the person deciding how your animal gets treated is the person standing in front of you. Richard has been here since 2006 and a partner since 2009. Bec runs the place alongside him.
Being a mixed practice, the day can go from a puppy vaccination to a horse dental to a call-out for a down cow. It keeps the team sharp and it means one clinic can look after everything on your property.
Between them they cover every day the clinic is open, so you can ask for the one your animal already knows.

Graduated from Charles Sturt in Wagga in 2011. Started out in Dalby on the Darling Downs in a mixed animal practice, which is where the large animal work got under her skin.
Grew up in the Channon before Melbourne for school and university, earning his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Melbourne. Animals have always been the whole point.
A local who completed her Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland in 2014, worked in Lismore, then spent five years practising in New Zealand and starting a family before coming home to the Northern Rivers in 2021. Keen on surgery, and experienced with horses after many years of owning them.
We put a 10kW solar system on in 2019 and it now generates around 90% of our electricity. Alongside it we recycle well beyond the kerbside bin and keep looking for the next thing to cut. Sustainability is not a page on this website, it is the power bill.
For small and large animals, any hour. Saturday appointments now need to be booked ahead so nobody is left sitting in the waiting room.
